Focal CMS 40

Big sound from a tiny compact speaker
Like many other sound
engineers, I like having comparative views and having the possibility to test
our work on different systems in rooms with different acoustics.
My work in
audio restauration and remastering requires a
fine and meticulous view of the final result.
My studio is equipped with a pair of Focal Solo6 Be that perfectly satisfies me for the sound
precision and neutrality it provides.
The Twin6 Be could bring me extra information on the quality of
my work, so I’m thinking about getting a set…
I’ve been looking for smaller and less powerful monitors for a long time, in order to have an impartial comparison on my finalized processing. I could have chosen the Genelec 6010A monitors, as they’re famous and widely spread in the professional audio world. But I didn’t…
My friend Yann-Dominique BEGAULT, manager of Yes Audiovisuel, suggested that I try the brand new CMS 40 and… a miracle occurred!
After 35 years in the audio world, I’ve never heard such a thing! Precision in the upper midrange, bass depth and accuracy, neutrality at different levels, SPL 97dB for 25W, class AB tweeter (28kHz) and 25W (60Hz at -3dB) in a 4” woofer… All this in a compact aluminum enclosure (238 x 156 x 155mm)!
I strongly advise you to try and listen to these wonderful monitors that will certainly provide you precious help regarding the credibility of your productions.

This new work tool was developed to meet the requirement of Professionals as well as demanding Home-Studio owners: to find an ultra-compact studio monitor that combines neutrality, extended bass response, and easy installation.
