The 13th edition of the MIPA took place during the international music fair, Musikmesse Frankfurt 2012, which took place from March 21st to March 24th, 2012.
Awarded by over 100 magazines from around the world, the MIPA (Musikmesse International Press Award) honor the most outstanding products of the professional audio world. This year, after the CMS 50 and CMS 65, Focal received a third award for its SM9 monitoring loudspeaker.
The SM9 is the result of two years of Research and Development, and establishes itself as the benchmark monitor thanks to the precision of its stereophonic image, its capacity to reproduce the slightest micro-details in the audio signal and to its unconditional respect for the original dynamics.
It’s with great pride that the team from Saint-Étienne receives the MIPA 2012, proof of the great Focal expertise, an expertise Made in France.
